Few words about us
The Company was incorporated in the State of West Bengal, India on 27th March, 1889 as a public limited company under the relevant provisions of the Companies Act for the time being in force. Its main objects per Memorandum & Articles of Association are, amongst other things, to grow, cultivate, manufacture, treat, blend, process, buy, sell and deal in tea in various forms, to carry on the business as planters.
Circa 1918…..the Bajoria family, steeped in generations of business expertise, takes up the reins of Huldibari Industries & Plantation Co. Limited. With interests in two of the core industries of India, tea and jute, the now non-anglicised Group soon creates a firm foothold in the subcontinent, and is ready for 'greener pastures'.
Mr. Chiranji Lal Bajoria takes over operations of the Group’s tea gardens, and lays the foundation for their professional management, which has today made the company a force to reckon with in the tea industry.
Circa 1988…… Mr. Rajendra Bajoria takes over as Chairman of the Group under whose able stewardship; the Group receives new direction and impetus. A phenomenal growth commences as the group expands through vertical integration and diversification.
Today, the Bajoria Group is a nucleus of activity, seeking new challenges and ready for exploration, to define its vision and realize its dreams.

Rajendra Bajoria

Mr Rajendra Bajoria, has spent over half a century in the Tea Industry and has all the tricks of the trade at his fingertips. Due to his year of experience and practice in tea manufacturing, tasting, and sales he has become a tea connoisseur.
His practice has given him the unique ability to judge tea just by its appearance and aroma. Starting his career with the inheritance of Baghmari, he successfully operated the estate to produce high quality teas and generated large profits to acquire Huldibari and Upper Fagu Tea Estate adding great value to the company. Due to old age Mr. Rajendra Bajoria cannot actively take part on the day to day operations, but his experience plays a crucial part in strategy forming and budgeting for the sustained growth of the company.
Anand Bajoria

Mr. Anand Bajoria completed his education at the University of Pennsylvania- Wharton School of Business. Being an excellent student and athlete, he could have easily stayed back in the United States and build and excellent career,
but his love for tea forced him back to India. He decided to follow his father’s footsteps and joined the business in 1990. Since then, Anand has made drastic changes and restructured the company from a traditional family business to a semi corporate company. He has followed the triple bottom approach because he believes that a company should not only increase profits, but also care for the environment and the community. Anand has done this by reducing the use of pesticides and fertilizers, along with an increase in labor safety standards. Anand presently manages the tea estate, keeping in check the costs, the quality of manufactured tea and the sales.
Mudit Bajoria

Mr. Mudit Bajoria graduated from the prestigious St.Xaviers College, Kolkata. From a very young age, Mudit developed an interest in the Tea trade, because he loved visiting the family tea estates with his father.
He wasted no time and joined the business, right after graduation. Mudit looked after the tea estates for 10 years, but always wanted to diversify and expand the business. He started looking at opportunities in tea export and packaging. After numerous attempts, he received his first order from Dubai and has slowly expanded to Russia, Bangladesh, China, and Iran. He now looks after the export division of the company.
